There are many chocolate chip cookie recipes out there but I have to tell you these are some darn good cookies! and I can’t keep it to myself. Then you wouldn’t be able to try them.
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES ,CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!
Sorry, I’m getting a little excited and tempted to eat another. Seriously…I try to avoid making them because I end up eating almost all of them ( not kidding, all self control goes out the door) and I just don’t need those calories, I just don’t. However, I try to make sure I make them because my five Monsters love them! We’ve called our boys Monsters since they were babies because they all growled, it was so cute! So don’t let the “Monsters” part fool you. They are adorable!
These cookies are super easy and fast to whip up, which is great for being homemade! I’m giving you a high five right now so don’t leave me hanging.
Heres the recipe:
- 3 cups of flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 or 2 teaspoons of water (just to mix baking soda in)
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of room temp. butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 or 3 teaspoons of vanilla extract (who doesn’t like a little extra!)
- 2 cups of chocolate chips (dark chocolate chips make this recipe ROCK)
You should always use good quality vanilla extract in your baked goods. Believe me you can taste the difference so use the good stuff. 😉 This one is my favorite!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Start by fluffing up your butter with a mixer then add your sugars and salt.
Mix until smooth and add 1 egg in at a time, then stir in vanilla. Now just mix your baking soda with 2 0r 3 teaspoons of water and add it to the bowl. Add 3 cups of flour and MIX MIX MIX! Looking good huh 😉
Toss in the chocolate chips and eat some dough….not to much though we used raw eggs.
Drop a spoonful unto a greased cookie sheet, space the dough 2 inches apart. Cookie dough will be sticky but not icky 🙂
Oh, and feel free to add nuts if you’d like. Make 24 plus cookies.
Bake these cookies for 12 to 14 minutes and let them cool on the pan. Enjoy!
Well that’s it folks 🙂 No brainer right? Hope you enjoy them as much as my family does. Don’t be shy let me know how you liked them. Did you try anything different? Any tips for me?
